House in Maryborough area, Douglas, Cork
We were happy to return to one of our existing customer’s homes on a bigger project, having previously created a family bathroom there. This time, Lydia wanted to make 4 existing en-suite bathrooms into 2 bigger bathrooms. These would serve the bedrooms of the home as family grew and moved on, and rooms became repurposed. Lydia and Glyn had planning discussions, set a budget and the work began.
We understand it’s a big job and potentially there can be upheaval involved in having bathrooms changed. Before anything starts, we cover as much as possible in the areas leading to and surrounding the rooms we are working on. We aim to keep mess to a minimum and take pride in causing as little disruption as possible.
This particular job involved knocking 2 adjoining walls down between 4 small en-suites to create the 2 larger bathrooms. Old sanitary ware was removed, tiles taken down, underfloor pipes re-routed, and the 2 new, larger bathrooms created with fresh new showers, sinks and toilets, new built in shelving and sleek tiles.
